Bitner Motors

After three decades in business, Bitner Motors remains a local favorite with three decades of business behind them and an aim toward outstanding customer service, it's easy to see why The Morning Sun's readers choose Bitner Motors as their favorite local car dealership during a recent poll.
Bitner Motors owner, Mike Bitner, noted that his father, Scotty Bitner, founded the business 35 years ago at 1018 N. Broadway. And, although the elder Bitner has since retired and opened Scotty's Classic Cars in Arma, Bitner Motors remains at the same location as the day it opened in 1973.
"We have always been at the same location," Mike Bitner added.
Bitner noted that he and his staff offer Crawford County residents foreign and domestic late model, low mileage used cars.
Bitner Motors offers cars and trucks, as well as a full range of SUVs.
We have one employee Randy Bestor. "He is a local guys who has lived here all of his life" Bitner said. "We've worked really hard to provide a quality car at a reasonable price."
Bitner added that he personally buys each of the cars on his lot and he takes great pains to purchase only top quality vehicles for his customers.
"We warranty all of our cars, 100 percent for parts and service," he said. "The fact is is that most of the people we sell to are friends and neighbors."
He added, in fact, that about 70 percent of his sales are to repeat customers.
"We live here. Our kids go to school here," he said. "You have got to take care of business and our business is our customers."
He noted that in addition to sales, Bitner Motors has its own shop and services their own vehicles. Bestor works in the shop
"I feel that in this day and age, most folks are well informed price-wise. They know if they are getting a good deal or not. If you have a quality car at a reasonable price and you take care of your customer, that is the secret," Bitner said.
And what does the future hold for Bitner Motors? Bitner said he simply hopes to continue maintaining the quality service his customers have come to expect.
Bitner Motors would just like to thank the area for voting us the best," he said. "We will work hard to maintain the same quality that we have in the past."
Bitner Motors is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m to 3 pm on Saturday. The sales staff is also available by appointment.
